I currently have an simple issue with my Alienware M15x.
I un-installed the microphone driver unintentionally and I cannot chat with anyone because of it.
Recording devices tab only shows IDT High Definition Audio CODEC left. I am pretty sure Microphone should be there as well.
F9 is on and I can still use the webcam (logging in with face recognition).
I tried installing the audio driver from Dell, but that didn't work out for me.
Any suggestions would be wonderful. Thanks!

Have you tried scanning for hardware changes? Any device listed with an exclamation mark?

Yes I have and in Device Manager there is no device with an exclamation mark. Nothing out of the ordinary from what I can tell. Add a device option does not seem to find anything either.
