    Hey All,

    New member here Hello :D

Just wanna get a vote, how many of you all are using gaming mouse or ordinary mouse for the beast :)

Didn't see a similar thread for it but Apologies if theres already a thread created for it :(

Also, I heard from a few youtubers that Razer software corrupts the alienfx? how true is it?

fyi: about to order my m15x over the week hence sourcing for a mouse T.T. Currently stucked between Logitech G9x, Microsoft X8 and Razer Mamba.

I will prefer wireless hence the mamba is really a ups for me depending on the size of the dock as i frequently will bring the m15x out.

    Thanks yall :D

I have the x8, great mouse but you cant connect it without the reel attached and its not small, about the size of a hockey puk. Am looking for an alternative aswell.

thanks alot for the great replies!

Wattos: does the razer profiler conflicts with the alienfx? Lagless gaming?

craigscott0: hows the x8 mate? i find the size of the receiver fine as i can chuck into my bottle pouch. But is the advertisment true that it actually offers lagless gaming?

To be honest it's perfect. I've not experienced any lag and it tracks perfectly. If I was able to connect it with the built in Bluetooth then it'd be perfect.

On a side note if anyone knows how to do that I'd be greatly appreciative.

Gonna use a Razer Orochi due to bluetooth (non gaming) and wired (gaming) options. Plus its a smaller mouse => more portable.

wowowowow.. alot of high end mouse :D

    abit gaming profile for myself..

I'm a FPS player. and sometimes RPG.. so i will like accurate and lagless mouse... i know only wired mouse can accomplish that.. But i really hate wires to the mouse as its sometime gives resistance :p

I ordered my Laptop last week and I ordered the TactX mouse because it was on sale at 50% off, so I figured a gaming mouse for 40 bucks can't go wrong. It arrived three days later and I have tried it out on my desktop with Dragon Age and Bad company 2 and it has been a great, so unless you have a desire for top of the line gear and if the Tactx is still on sale I would go for that one. You mentioned you find you get resistance sometimes with a wired mouse but with a 10 foot cord......you would need to make quite a tangle to run out of cord lol.

well the wire isnt rubber and making it really static on its positioning, its more of like a cloth fiber so it can be molded into wherever without giving much resistance in pressure

urr, my problem is the wire torqueing.. its like the wires curl up. and when it actually sits on the side of my speaker and i move it, it'll be like alil stucked there.. gg

my current mouse is a logitech g5 so its fiber covering it not rubber.. hence stiff :(

    :(

wasn't too clear heh I thought maybe the rubbery fabric would be molded into the foldin shape and put pressure against the mouse since it got stuck

Very satisfied Razer Orochi user here. :)

I use mine at 1500 DPI on 1600x900. It's perfect.

I notice no "lag" on Bluetooth, despite the low polling rate and aggressive sleep mode on BT.

Plus, the wired mode turns it into a serious gaming mouse.

You can't ignore the scroll wheel light, either... :p

    I have a Sidewinder X5, and I have to say, it's a decent mouse at 25 bucks.
I might want to get another though because, 2k DPI just ain't high enough. I need something with like 2.4k at least.
But I probably won't get razer because the blue doesn't match my nebula red. D:

Meh I ordered Razer instead of Alienware simply because the "sales rep" tried to shove it down my throat... Completely turned me away from "Alienware" accessories (sans the Orion backback). Never tried Razer before this and I must say that coming from a Logitec G5, my Naga is the best mouse I've ever used by far... Even for FPS it rocks, I can just use the 1-12 buttons to swap my gear, thus giving my wasd and ctrl keys the attention they so readily deserve....

However the main reason I got my Naga was because I was aware of the M15x lacking a NUM pad... Well, NOT ANYMORE :D. Which is good to know because in MMO's I usually number the party members from 1 to ?? and map them to the NUM pad. I can do this once again.

However If I were not to get the Naga I'd look into the Madcatz cyborg 9... Looks deadly.

It matches my Blue ever so nicely.... Which is good because I find the blue lights calm me down whilest playing FPS, thus increasing my performance...

Oooo could you imagine! Using the face sensor technology to read your facial muscles thus making it change colour depending on your expression :p

    Would be amazing!

the mx518 is the mouse that has been my love for years upon years, pretty much since its original inception of the mx500

i decided to try the tactx to match my setup and it's not bad. I prefer the 518 still since the mousewheel pressdown on the tactx is really stiff in comparison

I'm using the Microsoft X8. To be honest, I was looking for a cheap $20 mouse, but found this one for only $40 due to a pricing mistake. The normal price was $100 but this one had the wrong sticker.

Anyways, it's a great mouse. Absolutely love the lack of rubberized grips (one of my huge gripes with most mice. I hate them) and all the button are placed excellently. The biggest problem with it is the very large hockey puck ( :p ) but if you're okay with that, I'd definitely recommend it. Great performance.

Lol, I'd never pay more than £40 for a mouse, picked mine up for £12 :). Exactly the same as a Microsoft sidewinder which is around £80 I believe.

If you want one and the seller won't ship to you I could do it for you.

for orochi users, are you having probs with the bluetooth mode?
i'm using a logi v470 bluetooth mouse, which i'm planning to replace soon. prob is, whenever i do a heavy file transfer to my NAS via wifi, the bt connection gets problematic.

could be a conflict with the intel 5300, which i don't know how to fix yet

same here, my main game of choice is WoW and it's perfect for it. In fact i'd say it's game changing for it. with 12 custom macro's (a lot of them mouse-over) OMG how much extra control!

for fps's and any other game really it's awesome as well, with the firmware they released to customize any button to a macro (prior to this it was only numpad/numeric keys) it's definately the best mouse i've tried as of yet. my only gripe is the two useless mouse buttons attached to the left mouse button. with 12 conveniently placed on your thumb, it's not much of an issue though.

i use the SteelSeries Xai laser mouse and the 4H mousepad with my M15x. its responsive, comfortable, and good for FPS and RTS games.

i used to own a razer deathadder, and i must say i enjoyed it alot. it's an excellent mouse, i'd give it a 4/5. some problems i noticed about it though is because the black coating of the mouse is relatively mediocre, i had alot of scratches accumulated on my mouse over time. the mouse feet are also really crappy. they have alot of friction since they aren't made of teflon like alot of high end mouse feet are. i used a cloth pad for the deathadder, since hard plastic pads tore up the feet after prolonged use.

I'm pretty sure the max DPI is 1500 for the performance.

I also have a Mamba Razer and a Sidewinder X8. My only gripe with the Mamba was a pretty short battery life. I had a few issues with the X8 which I listed here.
