    I have not been able to find the battery on amazon or dells website. COuld someone point me to a website I can buy a 6v battery.

    Here's the link for the 9 cell. Part number is MCNFY. If you're going to buy a new battery, might as well get the 9 cell, it's better in every way.

    Try ebay. I'm looking for a 9cell myself and i see couple of them.

    6cell comes around 1:30:00 only.

    To buy a battery from Dell, you should call a rep. Dell does not put out all the spare parts on their website.
