    Ok, this is likely dumb, but here goes anyway.

    The tiny little pads at each end of my wrist rest, designed to hold the screen up from direct contact with the keyboard when I close the lid, one of them fell off and can't be found. Where can I get another one? I figured asking here would be faster and give me more accurate info. than calling Dell support. The other one fell off within a few months of getting the computer but I found it and a single drop of superglue took care of it, but now I need one to superglue on the other end of the wrist rest. The little slot looks tacky.

    If you've got warranty, you can call dell and get an entire new palmrest. I don't think they'll send you the individual rubber pieces.

    I'll do that if need be, though an entire new palmrest seems to be such a waste. Seems to be like "your car is out of gas, we're sending you a new engine." :)

    This has happened to me before. I called them and they sent a tech to come replace the whole palmrest...

    Yea I asked a Dell representative, he said the whole palrest has to be replaced.

    Guess the engine has to be repalced after all.

    lol It is a waste, I agree, but for some reason or another they'll just end up replacing the palmrest.
    Give 'em a call if it's bothering you, you are under warranty after all! and Good luck!

    I called about that and they said that it was cosmetic and they wouldn't replace it. So I guess I have to call again and say my mouse pad isn't working ;-) in the mean time I stuck some bumpers on the LCD cuz if you don't your mouse pad will scratch up the LCD plexiglas ie: put little honeycomb marks on the plexiglas :-(

    Is that what causing that? I have that in the upper most part of the screen. I'm pretty sure I still have my little rubber pads on.

    I did however manage to make one of the rubber pads on the bottom fall off, and was wondering the very same. I have come to the conconclusion, that books have more use after you're done reading them, other then just sitting around.

    @Logan

    Call them back and demand that they replace the palmrest. Its not cosmetic as it will cause scratching of your screen.
    I guess most people in here have had a rubberthing fall off, and the ones who went and complained have got it replaced.

    Dont know if this helps but if you want to prevent this from happening then I'd suggest buying the Razer Kabuto

    Buy Razer Kabuto Gaming Mouse Mat | Official Razer? Store

    Its a soft mouse mat that doubles as a screen protector. I've used it since I got my m15x and there was no scratch on the LCD screen I got recently replaced and I believe I wont have the problem as long as I keep using the mat. As for a mouse mat its very good and does not slip at all so its reliable (I prefer hard mouse mats though).
