I got in my hand 2x m15x ( 1 i buy for myself and 1 i got from my cousin as a gift)

    they are the same spec : i7720/8gb ddr3/500gb / 1080p/ 5300 wifi card . only different is 1 run by gtx260m (support dx10)and 1 run by ati5730(support dx11)

But i got in my hand another dell 5870 card ( from the m17x ) .
I'm try to install it in 1 of my m15x .. what is the best choice to replace the gtx260m or ati5730?
I read arround the forums about this and end up in 20 pages in M15x MOD thread ... but still confusing and need help.

    All i know is :
    1. I need the AMD GPU Clock Tool to set the gpu/ram to 250/300 to reduce the heat .
    2. I need to force the driver from ati to get the card discover
But something is confuse me .
1st : Can i use a bios A08 or A09 ? I read most of the thread but they said they try on a05( not fix the thottle)
2: What is the best driver to force ?

I got experience to replace cpu/gpu on m17x , also some experience to unload all the part on m17x and m15x ( not on my systems but in my cousin and my friends systems, they always asked me to do cause i know a bit more tech than they are)
I got in my hand a noctua NT-H1 to replace the old cooling gel of the old systems .
I also got some therma paste .
Any advice ? about the bios/driver and if you know the best way to make the systems more cooling after the install let me know .

    P.s: Sorry for some misstype/grammar . my 1st language not english .

Use the 5870m to replace the 5730m. The 260m is a stronger card than the 5730 for general use and gaming. If the 5870 is a Dell card, there is no need for manual downclocking using AMD Clock Tool; PowerPlay will be fully functional and will handle the clock switches as required. You will not need to force the driver to discover the card. You can use either A08 or A09, but the more recent version (A09) is recommended. Use the most recent AMD driver available, currently Catalyst 11.2 available here: ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver.

Check these guides from Inap. You will find them enormously helpful.
