I'm trying to upgrade the gpu in my m15x for the first time. I swapped out the cards but all I get is a black screen and three loud beeps when I try to power the laptop on...

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this?

    Thanks!,

Found a little more info... When I try to boot, the scroll and caps lock are flashing. I see from Dell's codes that that means the video card is preventing the computer from booting.

Does that mean the new card is DOA?

Is it a Dell or a Clevo card?

So the seller listed it as a card for an Alienware m15x, but the card isn't actually compatible with Alienware laptops?

As for the vbios, how can you flash the vbios if you can't get to a boot menu?

Is it correct to assume that if the card were good, I should still be able to get to the bios or boot menu?

I mean, even if I had to flash the vBios, don't I need to get to a boot menu to do it?

    Anyone?
