The problem is that the USB Hub is on backorder and they don't know when it'll be in. They told me to get the LCD with the USB hub, and to call every week to check if the hub is in, but the problem is that in about a month my warranty will expire. What should I do about this?

Since you reported it before the end of your warranty you should be safe.

But if I recall correctly, and please correct me if im wrong, some people have had experiences with dell trying to stall the fix in order to make the warranty run out and have you pay for it.

If you're gonna keep the machine longer you might just buy extended warranty anyway :)
