Just got my M15x yesterday and I am loving it. Is there a newer driver for ATI 5850? I couldn't find any on ATI's website and Dell's driver is over 5 months old. Thanks in advance. :)

i say gave the dell driver a chance before upgrading. the newest ati mobility driver is 10.7

    ATI Catalyst? Mobility Display Driver

the link is for the 64 bit version, download the first link the one that is 1.1mb, then run it, it will download the driver for you.

Agree'd with inap, give dell a chance... Also 10.7 has been giving me issues so i've been sticking to 10.6...

Don't forget to use Driversweeper to remove your old ATI drivers

    Run Driversweeper
    Remove drivers
    Reboot
    Install new drivers

    Done.

Update: Maybe use CCleaner for good measure ;) I always do.

Thanks for the help. I'm using Dell's 8.683.2 driver package right now. I hope Dell updates it soon. :)

I herd is caused explodz. Naw, but I heard dell doesnt support "betas" because it can potentially lead back to any issues being their fault... Regardless of the Beta's terms.
