Just gonna test and see if they still need a modded inf.

I got it from the nvidia site. Haven't tried them yet. Chances are we will still need the modded inf so I'm gonna see if the one from 266.58 still works.

    VERDE RELEASE 267.24 FOR NOTEBOOKS

    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to inform that this driver brings back the brightness control for 460M and other nVidia cards and we won't be needing the modded INF anymore(for few weeks atleast I suppose). ;)

I've been using this driver for a few days now and have no complaints whatsoever. The performance is just fantastic and ambient occlusion does not DAMAGE the frame rates in Mafia II and BBBC2 anymore. Not to mention I've been getting 25-40fps at 1080p Hardcore Crysis Multiplayer Demo.
The "audio over display port" problem is gone as well and my Viewsonic 3D 22" monitor seems to be real happy with these drivers.

If you guys are interested, you can grab this driver directly from nVidia's site from this link:
    NVIDIA DRIVERS 267.24 BETA

    Any thoughts welcomed. ;)

Thanks for the feedback on the driver!

Maybe a mod could merge both threads.

@Widezu: I need your help bro... I just switched my 460M to Dell Default...was previously using clevo's one.. and I'm having a hard time OC Dell's card beyond 745 core MHz. I mostly use MSI Afterburner for OC

Could you throw in some suggestions?
    Thanks.

Just to verify is it the card that is crashing or MSI Afterburner sliders won't go far enough? If the latter try other methods such as EVGA Precision or install nvidia system tools and alter clocks in the control panel.

I dunno, I would go for wither the verde or the geforce. Gonna try the geforce one and see what difference that one makes.
Edit: Just had a look on the nvidia site. 267.31 just adds some bug fixes for the 580 gtx specifically. Otherwise they are identical. Stick to the verde .24 ones

    ^^ verde means Beta drivers.

@Widezu : The sliders in Afterburner would not let me OC beyond 745Mhz. Will download EVGA precision and report. I tried Rivatuner but that software just went over my head.

Any of you guys tried the driver yet? Likes/Dislikes ??

So far drivers are good. Decent frame rates in Crysis 2 especially the Skyline map as it is compact map with less draw distance. Temps are a few degrees warmer than the 267.09 quadro's I was using but they were seriously low, I mean 39C on idle  Anyways would choose these in a heartbeat as they have brightness control which is great.

Actually, Verde is simply the name NV has created for their MOBILE driver release program. There are WHQL and BETA drivers. ;)

Question, what is the " NVIDIA HotKey Service" for?
I've found this information: Nvidia hotkey service - Windows 7 Forums, but how it works?
How can I control the Hotkeys?

Can I remove the program from the startup?

    Thanks!

BTW, I've installed the 267.24_notebook_winvista_win7_64bit_international_beta.exe and everything so far is OK!
    Even the brightness control!

And, thanks BatBoy for the explanation. I cannot give you +rep, because I give you too often :)

The hotkeys will only work if you have nvidia system tools installed. It allows you to bring up a dialog that controls your overclocking profiles and is not needed otherwise.

When using EVGA Precision 2.0.2 with 267.24, the slider problem was solved for me. I'm currently gaming at 803/1406/1606 OCs. The max temp while gaming Crysis for 3 hours is 68deg. While benching using furmark,Im getting temp of 81deg. I think there's room for even higher clocks in this card but I'm happy for now. Only plan to take it higher only when 6970/485M are released(if ever) for M15x. These is a truly respectable card and is on par with 5850/5870 IMO. Runs all games at about screen's refresh rate. So, what's the use of having a killer card when your monitor's refresh rate cant support it. And after experiencing this, you turn your vsync on and performance of ALL the cards out there for the M15x is in PAR with 460M.

^^^Please avoid the above post as daily experimentation has proven to me that this driver is not so stable and performance friendly after-all.

This driver is not very stable and the problem of stuttering occurs in 90% of the games I've been playing. Also for gaining back brightness control, I am not willing to game at low FPS in many games and slight stutter in almost all of them.

    I haven't notice the stuttering.

What I have noticed, is something strange on the icon of opening a new tab on Google Chrome.
    (I'm using 11.0.686.3 (Official Build 76659) dev).

When I open a link on a new tab (using Ctrl+Right Click), the circle on the top of the new tab that shows that is "loading": sort of divides and is not well drawn for 1/2 second.

I don't know if it is the video card or something with a new version of Google Chrome dev.

Sorry, maybe this is kind of "out of topic".

    @Kurupt
When you plug in your M15X to whatever output you're using, right click on the Volume Control (bottom right of your taskbar) and click "Playback Devices"
Does it give you your TV as an output?
This is what comes out on mine and my audio works just fine

I just got my first bluescreen with this driver. Dunno whats wrong, but seems like the only driver, that runs stable for me is the recommended 257.38 from dells support site. Wonder if the increased instability is worth it, considering the performance increase? Sounds like the new drivers are much better?
