Did you manually download the driver and install the driver after installing Windows? Just grab the driver page on the Dell support site if you haven't done this already.

Is there a device in the device-manager page that has an exclamation mark/symbol?

What version of Windows did you use before - what version are you using now?

Under other devices, I have 2 base system devices listed there and one that says unknown. the computer either had vista or windows 7 on it before it was upgraded to windows 10 64bit. I have looked on dells webpage for drivers and found one but when I try to install it, it comes up and says that Broadcom is not supported by this version of windows. Is that not the right driver for my bluetooth device?

I got the 2 base system devices taken care of, those were the ricoh card reader. Now I just have the free fall accelarator that is updating the unknown device. So still no bluetooth or correct dirver to installl for bluetooth.

I solved the issue. In the latest driver pack for this bluetooth, there is a file within it called "BTW" it is a windows installer file, that installled what was called widconn bluetooth software and that reinstalled my device and it works fine now. Strange enough, if you try to install the driver from the setup.exe file, it says that broadcom doesnt work with this version of windows. Hope this helps someone else also.
