    Hey forum!

I've had my m15x for quite a While now, bought it back in 2009!

I havent used in in some time now, since i find it gets really hot and lags quite the bit! Also it is really slow

I Know its old, so was thinking of upgrading a few Things on it!

As far as i know it runs with a geforce 460m, which i was thinking would be the first upgrade!

Would You suggest changing the coolers and battery?

    Thanks on beforehand :)

First thing you should do is clean out the fan and the heat sink grills.
Pop off the cover plate, clean off the mesh intakes and then use a clothe, tweezers and a compressed air can to blow out all the dust.
If you can look through the heatsink grill from the outside towards the fans and see light clearly, then you're good.
Chances are if your M15x is getting hot it is cramping performance. So do a clean out first then see how it runs.

What is it you see yourself using your old m15x for? As that will determine what you want to upgrade and if its worth it.

Check out the specs in my signature and aim for that.
It'll cost you a good bit of loosechange to upgrade to current gaming quality. Start with RAM, processor and GPU

Those specs should be enough for the OP's purpose indeed.
