Apologies for the ever occurring question, but I find the Dell Driver page absolutely terrible to work with.

This is the list of drivers that appear:
Drivers & Downloads | Dell US

I just need to know what ones I need and the order to do them in. I was given this order:
    - Intel Chipset - Found.
    - Intel Management Engine - Found. (RST driver)
    - Nivida or AMD Discrete Video Card - There are two 5850 drivers in that list, what one do I use? (AMD Mobility Radeon HD5850, v.13B96102.105, A02 or AMD Mobility Radeon HD5850, v.8.763-100810a-104118C-Dell, A01)
    - Card Reader - Found
    - Firewire
    - LAN - There are 2 drivers in that list, what one do I use? (Intel Intel(R) WiFi Link 5300, Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100, v.tic TRWFW0986D , A01 or Intel 825xx Gigabit Platform LAN Network Device, v.10.7.31.0(Vista)/11.0.41.0(Win7) , A00 )
    - WLAN - Found.
    - Bluetooth - Found.
    - Audio - Found.
    - Accelerometer
    - IR Receiver - Found.
    - Command Center - Found.
    - OSD - Found.

However I have no idea what the Intel Management Engine even is, and can't see anything on that driver page for it...

The actual process of formatting is not a problem, I just don't want to mess up the driver installation because I've done that before and it sucked.

TL;DR I am a massive baby and need spoonfeeding this driver malarky. I've read the FAQs

    Thank you.

I always refer to Batboy's post whenever installing drivers after a clean install of Windows. Check it out if you haven't already! http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...er-install-order-guide-alienware-systems.html

The third step in the list is "3. Intel RST Driver / Intel Management Engine". Neither of them come up for me when I enter in my M15x's service tag. However, if I click on "All related drivers for your Product" as opposed to "Filtered driver results for your service tag" IME still isn't listed but Intel's RST driver is under Serial ATA drivers.

Hi Toxic, thank you very much for your reply! I have downloaded the RST driver as a substitute for the Management Engine driver. Could you look at the bold items on my list?

I've read Batboy's guide, but I can't seem to locate these last drivers.

Thanks again, it's much appreciated :).

For the graphics card, I would go to AMD's site and download AMD Mobility Radeon Driver Verification Tool. It should determine which driver you need! The graphics drivers on Dell are horrifically outdated (atleast for my GTX 460m). AMD Catalyst

As for the Accelerometer, I believe they are referring to the Free Fall Sensor in your laptop that detects if your computer is falling so that it can disconnect your hard drive and reduce the risk losing data. It isn't completely necessary, but some users including myself like to use it. Heres a link to Dell's official driver: Driver Details | Dell US

If both of those drivers show up for your LAN, download both of them. The first one you mentioned is for your wireless card while the other is for ethernet on your motherboard.

And no problem! I hope that I am helping out at least a little bit.
