Hi all, just wanted some opinons on upgrading my machine.

    My current spec is

    I7 620m
    GTX 460M
    4 Gig ram
    1920x1080

There is a 920xm for sale on ebay fairly cheap but its the ES, iv heard it mentioned on here before what exactly is this is it a ripoff cpu? I was going to upgrade to that and the GTX560M as thats currently the fastest card avaliable to the m15x isnt it? I did just extend my warranty so i was unsure whether doing this would void my warranty in the U.K, iv not updated my bios becuase my friend bricked his during a bad update and it wasnt covered under warranty so now im abit paranoid lol.

Failing these upgrades not working i was going to wait the warranty out then sell and go full spec on an m18x, what do you guys think? Im still kinda attached to the m15x lol.

ES just means its not the final product but for the most part it should work fine. The 6990m is actually the most powerful card as well, but if size and money doesn't matter then the M18x may be better since its newer.

Thanks for the reply, the 6990m does seem to be quite alot more powerful. Adding it up though it seems its gunna be more benificial to just uprgade to an m18x and run a lesser card in sli, as the cheapest i can find that card here is about 300 pounds all things considered.

You can sell your card and find the GTX475M :D
    One of the greatest card.

Your have a powerful VGA so you must have a powerful CPU too (avoid throttle)

    So I think the best is: GTX 475M + i7 - 920XM
May be GTX 475M is hard to fine

Sorry but thats just a horrible Idea. Granted that is a great card the problems he will run into caused by the amount of power draw that will happen will be crazy.
