should be the same, but i'm not sure if the 460m has the vram underneath too, so you could need more.

i think widezu did the same thing, hopefully he can chime in.

i just recieved some thermal pads from frozen cpu, i think i kinda went over board, bought 2 sheet but i do like to keep a supply handy just in case i ever want to do a mod. last year i went through 2 sheet on the M15x alone, heheh

I just bought the 5850 and I am upgrading from a 5730. Should I buy some thermal pads from Microcenter? What should I buy? I got Antec Formula 6 Diamond paste. PITA to spread ( I put it on my CPU), but I didn't know about the thermal pads for the GPU, I haven't done any Computer mods since the early 2000's.

actually microcenter has thermal pads in stock. I am confused. Do I use pads and paste? Just pads, just paste?

The pads are for the mem chips and the paste is for the the actual gpu.

I put fujipoly pads along with mx-4 on my m15x with a 5870. My idle temps stayed at 51 degrees and not much change but my load temps went from about 97 degrees in furmark after 2 minutes to 84 degrees tops after 13 minutes and gaming temps dropped more than 10 degrees also.
