Use EVGA Precision. Its very good and simple. You have the option to link cores and shaders so they stay in the Nvidia designated proportions, or unlink them. Usually shaders can OC higher than cores. I like to keep mine at a nice factor of 25 (see sig) and as close as I can to the Nvidia proportions by first seeing what EP sets while linked, for example my shader clock should be 1656 whilst the core is at 675 but I like my things neat so I rounded it down to 1650. And I keep things in perspective by not pushing the cores/shaders and memory sliders way past each other even if one overclocks more than another. Hope this helps. Looks like you are getting that 470m then?

thanks, super rusty with nvidia stuff now.
yeah the 470m has been ordered. so hopefully in a few days we will know if it works or not, crossing fingers.

wasn't gonna do it, but my laptop buyer backed out.

Well tis a good thing in a way right? Also check out laptopvideo2go for up to date nvidia drivers. It has been reported that the 263.09 drivers work with the modded inf. I'm not great with modifying vbios and voltages etc because that stuff seemed a bit too risky so all my overclocking is done via software. My 260m is running 1v max and I intend my 470m to be the same, just hoping I can break that 11k mark...

Cool!! I'm still saving some bucks for the card. I didn't see it cheaper than for about 640 bucks so far... quite expensive imho, hope it is worth the money.
A buddy of mine has a notebook with a 460m and I was already impressed with the power of it compared to the 260m, so I'm really curious.

Eurocom are Clevo resellers. I think Dell and Clevo are the only companies that officially stock their own MXM 3 cards. I could be wrong though.

*Sharp intake of breath gasp!* Macbook?! Was gonna faint, but they actually are quite good, my 3rd and 4th laptops were Macs. Being the bencher that you are I would agree with what Rev said, x7200 with desktop EE. But you can always attempt at stuffing a pair of 480m's in a m17x. Anyways keep us up to date with your upcoming 470m and after your done with it, you know where to look if you want someone to take it off your hands ;)

thanks for the support guys. but my those x7200 are expensive, plus i nevered really like the looks of any clevo/sager.

prolly post my laptop on ebay when i'm done benching the 470m.

also i don't know my way around the mac os, i feel retarded trying to use one, hehehe

Yes, the clevo / eurocom don't look great, especially compared to the M15x /M17x, imho.

You don't need to use mac os, just put Windows 7 on it and you're fine (well, except that with not using mac os I can't see a reason to get a mac anymore)

Again it's technically illegal as it breaks Mac's EULA. As soon as you buy and turn on a Mac you've agreed to the EULA of the computer, OS, hardware etc and it states that Mac equipment is to run OSX only and OSX is to be run on Mac equipment only. Don't ask me how this is legal, but there's still people low enough on the intelligence totem pole to buy em and pay more for em on top of it all.

Dudes putting windows on a mac ain't illegal thats why apple has bootcamp it allows windoes on macs. Its the other way around that is illegal ie you can't [ut osx on a windows machine.
