i think its pretty decent. the only thing i see that makes it hard to sell is the i3.
-
-
Curse that i3. It's not that bad...at least it's got the 260m and 1080p.
-
man just keep it bro, go find a deal on a 920 and unleash the beast, hahahaha
-
Yeah it was a poor choice on my part. Live and learn. I honestly find the screen a little small for my liking. I rather game on my 24" LG lol. I can always go ebay. I just hate their fees.
-
yeah trying to get new monitor myself, would love a bigger screen. hopefully should be on sale this holiday weekend.
hope you get a quick sell bro. -

Thanks, Wiz, you're more than welcome to drop by whenever you want.
By the way, I did actually mod my M15x to protect my ports from the salty air. -
Congrats Identifier!
Sorry guys I've been busy lately, working, hanging out with friends and gf, than school worksLife's hard!
But anyway, glad to see you guys are still here! Sad story we are losing Villosa -
Daaamn! I swear I dreamed of somewhere just like that!
It must be great to live in such a paradise! -
-
Yes, that's what I see if I turn my head slightly to the right! Average temp is 29 C and it rains maybe 10 times a year. Definitely better than living in cold, rainy Europe!

How do I install the ATI drivers? Is there a guide or something? My screen gets wiered when I´m watching youtube videos in full screen :S, says that the drivers stopped to work or something..
-
-
Okay thanks, what´s Ccleaner?
Edit: Downloaded Ccleaner now, gonna do what you said! Is ATI Catalyst Install Manager the thing I want to uninstall? If not, how do I uninstall it, lol
-
Let me know how it works out, Razz!
Ccleaner is a great little programme that cleans up all the registries, such as traces from uninstalled programmes. -
Ok but where do I uninstall the current drivers
? Is it the Ati Catalyst Install Manager?
-
man harry, making everyone here jealous of you, especially me
ramusbjork, do you want to install dell driver or just the ati driver from ati site?
go into control panel and go to device manager, select display and properties and select uninstall driver. -
-
I guess I need to uninstall the ati drivers if I want to upgrade to 10.5 right?
So I just right-click the ati 5850 and click uninstall -
yes you have to uninstall but you have to install the 10.5 a special way, not as easy to install as dell driver.
hey harry you got top spot for 240 benches congrats brotha!!!! -
Margarita Island, Venezuela - Google Maps -
?

1) download driver 10.5
2) when extracting the files to install , there will be a path it will extract to. Copy the path before it extract.
3) after it extract the files, it will prompt to install, at this point cancel the install.
4) go Start, right click Computer, Click Propertities, Click Device Manager, Click Display adaptor, when you see VGA Graphic , Right click Update Driver, then click Browse my computer for driver software , this is where you right click and paste the path and hit the next button. It should install and display ATI HD 5800. I would advise you to restart the computer after that.

yeah kind of a pain but only way for non dell ati drivers. otherwise the install will just fail. it not that bad once you do once or twice it get easier.
-
no pretty standard lol apparently dell doesn't like having ati supply drivers lol
-
-
Can´t see this :S?! "Click Display adaptor, when you see VGA Graphic "
-
once you uninstall your ati driver, windows will install a generic driver for you, you will know when the resolution on your screen changes to a lower res. run ccleaners to clean up registries, run it untill you have no more errors than go back and install your driver.
-
ok what´s the name of that driver?
-
thewhitewizard Notebook Evangelist
hey inap... do u have flashplayer problems when downclocked ur gpu to 200/300.... i just got that issue going thru youtube videos 1080p.... dunno if it is flash player problem or something to do with slower clocks ....
EDIT: just installed flash player i think issue resolved... -
-
i forgot the name but it should be under display in device manager, the same place where you uninstalled the dell ati driver.
lol @ wiz, glad you solved it bro, hahah -
Thin I got it to work now, back to normal
! The laptop didn´t update to the vga drivers by itself so had to update some driver to see the vga thinger. Thanks so much for the help! Couldn´t dp it without your help Harry and Inap!
-
Glad to see you got it working, Razz!
-
Hmm still the same problem! When I´m watching youtube videos in full screen for example and I like paus, doubble-click the screen or fast forwarding the screen goes kinda blinking and it´s lagging, it´s mostly black and I can see the mouse. Does anyone know why that´s happening?
-
don't know could be an issue with the dell card.
-
Okay I see, it´s really annoying. Sending this back so it´s okay for now I guess
-
Heard something similar with a big cursor showing on screen in the 5950 thread. Maybe Dell did something to nerf the cards.
