Yeah it was a poor choice on my part. Live and learn. I honestly find the screen a little small for my liking. I rather game on my 24" LG lol. I can always go ebay. I just hate their fees.

Come on everybody! You're all invited! And don't worry, my 3.5G connection is a lot faster than the old one and I'll get everyone who comes to the LAN party a free 3.5G stick!

This is where the party would be:

Download them, uninstall current divers, run Ccleaner, re-boot and install new drivers, Razz. Should work fine.

Let me know how it works out, Razz!

Ccleaner is a great little programme that cleans up all the registries, such as traces from uninstalled programmes.

man harry, making everyone here jealous of you, especially me :(

ramusbjork, do you want to install dell driver or just the ati driver from ati site?

go into control panel and go to device manager, select display and properties and select uninstall driver.

So I just right-click the ati 5850 and click uninstall :)

yes you have to uninstall but you have to install the 10.5 a special way, not as easy to install as dell driver.

hey harry you got top spot for 240 benches congrats brotha!!!!

    1) download driver 10.5
    2) when extracting the files to install , there will be a path it will extract to. Copy the path before it extract.
    3) after it extract the files, it will prompt to install, at this point cancel the install.
    4) go Start, right click Computer, Click Propertities, Click Device Manager, Click Display adaptor, when you see VGA Graphic , Right click Update Driver, then click Browse my computer for driver software , this is where you right click and paste the path and hit the next button. It should install and display ATI HD 5800. I would advise you to restart the computer after that.

once you uninstall your ati driver, windows will install a generic driver for you, you will know when the resolution on your screen changes to a lower res. run ccleaners to clean up registries, run it untill you have no more errors than go back and install your driver.

Heard something similar with a big cursor showing on screen in the 5950 thread. Maybe Dell did something to nerf the cards.
