This will work to install the Dell version of CCC, but you might also try going to c:\ATI Technologies\Support\10-5_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc\ Packages\Apps\CCC and running setup.exe found there. This should give you the 10.5 version of CCC. So far as I can tell, there is little or no functional difference, but the aesthetics are improved and it might contribute to being able to do the automated installation routine with the next driver update.

Looking to get an android phone but it's crazy expensive here in Canada! -
lol i still have my first generation storm lol the click phone hahaha
-
A couple more days and I should be ready with my project and free as a bird again! -
You do like your toys, don't you? -
its pretty good. the touch screen is real nice, iphone quality. still need to learn the android os, but seems simply enough. the screen is pretty big too, almost the size of of a whole iphone. probably convert some video tonight to check the quality.
-
how you been harry? done with all your projects yet? -
I just hope no work comes during the Worldcup! Maybe I will finally have some time to play some of those games! -
oh yeah world cup time, almost forgot about that. gonna be sweet. well i hope they don't send you more stuff, miss you around here bro. alot of newbie lately that need your help, lol.
-
I'll be back soon, bro. I can't wait. It's so weird to only work and then just go to bed. It sucks, man!
A couple o days and I'll be back with my little family from the early hours of the morning till the wee hours of the night!
No explain somthing to me, Inap: WTH is an Intel Paper Clip BabyHemi Edition? -
lol, just an inside joke with babyhemi, paid him extra 1 cent when i ordered the wifi card and he gave me an intel paper clip for it. and it looks awesome.
-
Ha ha ha! Well, at least it's very original. I'm sure not many people have one of those, ha ha ha!
Man, I gotta find a way to spend all that money I've made the last week! Any suggestions, from my li'lle family here? -
you can buy me what ever you want harry, lol
but seriously depends on what you need or want to improve. probably best to get some beers and chill out, you need it bro. working all day till night time, geez, i thought i was working hard. -
That's mostly now, because large companies are affected by the economic crisis and they are saving money wherever they can, especially on luxuries such as expansion. Nowadays I gotta take whatever I can!
Once things normalise I'll go back to my normal rhythm, which is a gruelling 4 hours a day, 4 days a week, bro! (By the way, did I ever mention that I am actually very lazy?)
If there is ever anything you REALLY need and can't afford, just let me know man. I mean that! -
How is everyone? Temps are starting to soar in the western states. Those without AC should check their temps regularly. -
well i always kinda wanted a bugatti, but could never afford it, hahahah
its cool harry, i know you got my back.
tell me about it, it was super hot today. should be a little hotter where you live villosa, my bay area brotha, lol -
I have a question about Windows 7 , by the way. I know this is not the place to post it, so please forgive me mods, but I haven't had a chance to browse through the new set-up of the forum yet and I can't find my way around yet.
Now 7 is designed so things don't clutter all over your taskbar. Beautiful of course, but in case of productivity software such as Word, Excel, and Adobe, I find it kind of irritating I can't have my docs next to each other so I can just click on the one I need at the time instead of keeping my mouse on the one icon in the taskbar, look at about 12 docs in miniature and search the one I need. Is there a way to change this so I can have them next to one another again like in XP and Vista?
Appreciate your help on this one guys, as I lose way too much time this way! -
my temps are good i live in the lower part of my house which has a basement which creates its own ac its awesome so i don't have worry about 90 degree weather 6 feet to my left lol.
@harry nice to see that your project is almost done bro. also buy a ssd if you want to improve your M15X. -
yeah just right click on the task bar, and a few options should show up, test it out and see which one you like. win7 is awesome.
-
I'll let you know if I hit the lottery, bro, and I'll get you one with an AW board computer!
Don't know what you're talking about Villosa! It was the usual 29°C here!! -

Hey!!! harry.... forums been dead without u...
right click on taskbar click properties... u'll see an option for taskbar buttons... in the list select the option for never combine and click apply..
JOB done!!! its like xp all the way..
EDIT: u beat me this time inap...lol -
I have been thinking about an SSD. I could get the smallest one as I don't need a lot of space on my HD. Thing is that there are so many mixed reports on them. The one I would like is the Intel, but I don't think we get them here. CPU's on the other hand are easy to get by here. Expensive, but easy to get. Of course, in my case it would only be to bench because workwise the 240 suits me fine.
Anything else? It does not necessarily have to be for the M15x, though. -
thewhitewizard Notebook Evangelist
Intel releasing g3 ssd by q4 this year... u can get them arnd 20% cheaper then and with better speeds.. OCZ is very good performer as far as benches are concerned but when using ur laptop u won't feel a difference between the 2... if u wan't one now babyhemi is selling them at a very good price...

hmmmm LED Samsung tv?
life is good going to look at apts next week and find a job hopefully at the same time. -
Yeah I been reading a bit in here once in a while over the last couple of days but if it weren't for the newbies, nothing would have happened.
Maybe it's times for me to "Just wack it a few times" again LOL! -
@Harry,
If it's constant then man that is sweet. The thing that gets me is the shift from cool to oven in like a day here. Damn valley... -

Yeah the weather has been crazy lately. Hot one day, raining the next. But oh well, be harry's neighbor one of these days lol.
-
Man I used to hate those temperature differences in Europe. Sometimes there was like a 17°C temp difference in 1 day, now that blows!
By the way, guys, GOT IT! Thanks a million! Saves me a lot of time when I'm working. -
Can BabyHemi get the SSD's to Venezuela without them being confiscated by our corrupt officials, though? -
Good luck with apt and job hunt, bro! Hope you'll find a nice one of each! (Try to become self-employed in the future, though. Sooo much better!) -
-
-
hmmm a toy no one else has. how about this -
-
-
Can you post a pic so I know what I'm getting? -
-
@madpenguin lol dude their meant for crapped space so you can enjoy the huge screen and great audio without the huge setup required for it. i.e. turn the M15x into a monster screenwill have to learn how to type blind though lol
-
So far loving the laptop. Been playing Dragon Age max graphics and was getting over 60 fps continuously with sometimes fps dropping in the 40s range. Dirt 2 was a bit disappointing. Running on Ultra gives 30 fps on average. So toned it down to 2x multi sampling, with preset setting on all high. I was getting about 40 fps, which I found made the game a alot smoother.
Is the Dell Backup thing any good? Or should I just uninstall it? -
-
lol
to me its something that causes latency issues for me so i got rid of it on first boot up but then i did a fresh install without even installing it. -
hey inappropriate what's this g3 you're talking about? thanks for the quick reply. I was surpised that there's been 5 pages of chat since last night haha.
And thanks guys! I just learned how to change the icons on my toolbar to the small icons. -
-
Well... I finally jumped on the bandwagon and bought a 5870.
Now i need to buy some Mx-3 and hope for the best since i haven't worked with paste since i put together my old laptop with an AMD AthlonXP 2000 =x -
also you want to get new thermal pads for the best possible cooling go here as recommend by inap here
-
I'll see how my temps are after MX-3.
If i see it's still on the hot side, i'll invest in some pads.
Never worked with pads before =x
Also, does anyone have any recommended sites where i can buy some MX-3? Just checking before i bite the bullet on another purchase -
-
haha, I was walking up the stairs with my laptop and accidentally wacked the side against a plaster pillar at the top. The first thought I had was " ahhh crap dinted new laptop", but when i looked there was plaster there. I wiped it off and found that the laptop was unscratched, so go alienware and their sturdiness.
