hahaha thanks. my favorite game of all times. yet it was the cheapest game i've ever bought too, go figure, lol.
-
-
Pretty much my favorite game of all time also. Well besides WoW. I play too much wow, and not enough TF2.
-
gah. just noticed I have been here almost 3 years and have 11 posts. *sigh*
-
yeah i haven't played wow, and vow never to. it just seems so addicting, so i'm not gonna touch it, i've seen what it does to people, so i'm scared to try, hahahaha.
yeah i just noticed your join date to, hahahhaha -
thewhitewizard Notebook Evangelist
my fav.. game as well... tf2 rocks....
-
i had a blast playing with harry a few weeks ago, it was so funny. i think he got zero kills the whole time, lol. we should all play together sometime.
tf2 = team fortress 2 -
Team Fortress 2?
-
Sounds Good Inap. lets get a game going... I need to play some again!
-
Sweet just pm me your steam name.

The Revelator Notebook Prophet
Good one, Zaidbaby. Thanks for the pointer. -
LOL awesome find
-
Yeah you guys gotta invite me next time you play TF2, I got it back in February, I have yet to try it! O_O

There's one last thought I have before I give up on my brick.
What if I installed the GT 240, booted, entered a DOS environment with atiflash and my old vbios, swapped the card with the machine running, and attempted to flash.
The question is really just whether removing the working gpu that was needed to post will cause an instant crash in a DOS environment.
I'm not really sure, but I know that it definitely isn't needed in a command line environment. -
i highly recommend not doing any of the above, it will not work. plus your risk shorting out other components and yourself. you will need to find a duo card setup, to boot up and flash your card. what happened to your card?
-
Peek-a-Boo
-
Ha ha ha ha!!! I think I actually killed you before I noticed we were on the same team, Inap!
-
well look who decided to finally show up, hahah how is it going bro?
hahhah i had a blast playing with you harry, so did you do any practicing?
have to do again sometimes.
-
I know you guys wanted the ICS clock gen numbers for setfsb but I cannot read them for the life of me. I have it opened up right now and I can tell which chip it is but that's about it. I'll try using a camera on it.
-
No, unfortunately not, bro! Been a bit busy with family stuff (mostly school stuff for JD), stray animals and fixing the car. I will practice and become the best killing machine I can be, though!
-
How is life treating you, J?
-
yeah i feel ya, its getting hard and hard to find some play time. oh yea!!! i'm waiting for our next show down hahahahah.
-
Ha ha ha! Yeah I'm looking forward to it as well. It's a great game!
By the way, could you discover anything on the pic why my 3dmark06 score was so high? -
some beer must have drizzled into your laptop making it drunk. hahah
naw don't know but its awesome. -
Does anyone know if the eSATA port on the M15x is powered or not?
-
Ha ha ha! Yeah, that must be it!
I'll run it again one of these days and if it's that high again I will post it in the benchmark thread. -
yes it still supplies power when laptop is off.
-
-
Wow don't see anything which chip is it on?
-
The big one in the middle with the pins going all around it. I can see something on there with the naked eye but it's just difficult to make it out. It's right under the touchpad if anyone else wants to try.
-
Flashed an incompatible vbios.
Is there any sort of mxm to usb adapter I can get to do this sort of thing? Or even mxm to pci for that matter. All I really have at my disposal is my M11x, M15x, and the two desktops I used prior to owning the laptops. Neither desktop has a pci-e slot. -
dude i feel ya on that one, just did the same thing like 2 weeks ago. the only external solution cost way too much. yeah best is to find someone with a duo card setup, and get them to flash it for you, but still may not work. from what mandrake told me is the M17x r1 is your best chance at salvaging your card. or just bite the bullet and get a new card.
-
any easy way to get to it or i have to take most of the laptop apart?
-
The magnesium top part along with some of the black tape on it has to be removed....so yes you need to take a lot of it apart but you don't need to remove the system board.
-
yikes, if you really need it i will do it. but if not i will be tearing it down in a week or so when i get my new case back from the paintshop.
-
you did the colorware. what colors did you have done and on what parts?
-
Hey, everything's going great today
Though it was a crazy day at work, with twilight coming out, the movie theater was cracking
Well in order to use a external HDD through the esata port, you will still have to use a USB port for the power.. -
No colorware, have a friend with a paintshop. Just the lid and body getting painted yellow everything else is stock black.
-
wow nice hookup. bumble bee look?
-
yeah, hoping end result will look something like this:

No finger prints FTW.... That yellow looks very nice .... Witcher painted a M15x lid today Gloss blue with a metallic flake and its a beauty
... He will post some pics tomorrow ..
-
Cant wait to see some pics Inap!
-
I just got around to replacing my BT module in my M15X, and I still cannot join BT devices to my laptop, any suggestions?
-
I have not had any problems syncing my PS3 controller via bluetooth but thats all i have done with BT thus far... (Motionjoy is king .. It emulates the wireless 360 controller perfectly and the PS3 controller is much smaller making it perfect for a laptop and carrying around)....
If the drivers are installed and the device is showing up in the device manager i cant imagine what else it could be.... Did you remember to connect the antenna ?
...
-
thanks guys, yeah i saw him post the color a few days ago. can't wait to see those pics also.
-
did it even see the device that you want to add?
-
This may not be the best place to post this...but for those of you that have had experience with system exchanges thru dell...I need some help...
I just received my new replacement system yesterday, and the customer care rep told me I would also receive return instructions and a return label for the old system. I received nothing of the sort. Only a brand new system, just like my original purchase.
I've contacted Dell twice today, and requested a return label, via email/electronic. Both reps have told me they would send it out immediately...it's been 4 hours since my last call, and still nothing.
Does this sound like protocol or any alternatives for contacting these Customer Care reps directly...rather than having to explain myself to 4 different reps before I'm in touch with the right person? -
So I guess that means as soon as all the chipsets in use support the Arrandale IGP, these days are behind us.
I really don't know what to do. I'm not exactly ready to spend another $385.
-
just wait a day or two, if no word then call them again. i guess they want you to keep your old one too, lol.
yeah no real choice, either get someone to flash it or pay up. cause you can't post with that card in your system. sorry to be a bummer
-
There is usually one rep that follows the transaction to the end. If they are expecting something they will call you within a couple days. Normally they track the return tracking number. You don't have to chase them down, just sit and wait. You only need to worry if they actually send you an invoice of the old system which they are technically supposed to do. If they don't get they system back that invoice becomes "active".
-
That's why I'll probably try that above idea when I get home and can mess with my GT 240. I really have nothing to lose. I'll do it on battery, so I can't electrocute myself, and even if it breaks the GT 240 (or anything else), I have Complete Care.
