    4GB / 5850 / i7 740 / 1080P Monitor and Ext TV

For some reason lately my performance has been lack luster in BF4 and other games.

In addition, I use an external display (TV) for gaming and use almost all the time, although this isn't an issue effecting use as my built in monitor is turned off it it seems problematic and maybe a sign of my performance quirks.

When running both the built in monitor, and my TV on the clone or duplicate settings, using both 1920x1080 the laptop display will rip and do all sorts of artifacting. Think the old tube TV's when you played with the adjustment knobs.

Played with drivers, not over heating (never exceeds 84 degrees on the GPU, I need to replace my memory thermal pads)

Sometimes the refresh rate between the laptop screen and the external screen can be slightly different and since V-sync will be based on the timings of the primary screen, the secondary screen will experience screen tearing. Well, at least that is what I think you are experiencing here.

I'll give different cable a try. Unfortunately my TV, only the HDMI 1 is DVI friendly. The others work but the image and whatnot is not the same.

Would V-sync forced off make a difference?

Also I notice the thermal pad for my memory is becoming wore and not making proper contact. What density is it? I see it sold from 1-2 mm in thickness.
