Hey guys, I've just received my 460m yesterday and decided to mess around with it a lil bit.

    I'm currently using :
    1. MSI afterburner
    2. Nvidia System tools

After setting the clocks with both these tools, my graphic card ran fine with the games. However whenever i restart, my clocks will be reverted back to default.

    Default clock : 570/1250/1140
Can anyone help me out on this?

    Thanks a tonnes!

I think there a box where you can check and it will apply the oc on start up.

I use this program on my friend gtx 460m.
NVIDIA Inspector 1.94 download from Guru3D.com
Download and open up the program when you open it up there a feature on the bottom right said show your overclocked. Click on that and set whatever overclocked you want. Then there a button that said make a shortcut overclocked. Click on that and it will make the shortcut on your desktop. I put that shortcut in the start up folder and everytime I restart the laptop it would run it. Remember to turn of your UAC.

by startup folder you mean C:\Users\John Danson Chan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup?

So if for example if I saved my clocks at 800/1600/1500 it would be C:\Users\John Danson Chan\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\NVI_0_2_1600_1500_900?

Click on the window button at bottom left of your desktop then go to all programs and the startups file should be there at the bottom. Right click, open it and put your short cut in there.

Yeap bro, I saw the files already in the folder. But it seems to not be working? I have to manually click it to apply the clocks, it wont run automatically during startup...

You turn off your UAC? go to search program and file and type UAC in the search bar. A screen will prompt up, just press ok and then move that slider all the way down and hit ok. Restart your computer and see if the oc apply.

Turning off UAC is probably not the best idea unless you really know about the associated risks of doing this. UAC is an essential part of the Windows security and system protection and normally shouldn't be turned of only to be able to start a program via the auto start folder.

You're better off using something like the task scheduler to auto start the oc, or maybe flash the clocks to the card.

    Just my 0.02.

Turning off the UAC is normally the first thing I do after an install of Windows.

It's an annoyance more than anything else.
