I got interested in looking up how to overclock cards, and for the GTX 260m everyone said to download Nvidia System Tools 6.05. I did that, and when I went to device settings, is the only thing I have to do is to raise the numbers..? Or should I have anything else prepared as well?

never tried Nvidia System Tools 6.05

i only used msi afterburner and nvflash to increase my voltage for benching =)

you can check my sig for details of my overclocking, but i find at the highest clocks, my notebook gets too hot for my comfort ...

my everyday gaming, i stick to these frequencies:
    GPU 650Mhz
    Memory 1050Mhz
    Shader 1595Mhz

At those temperatures, is your computer comfortable? I just want to try and up my performance a little bit.

You're probably better off just getting a newer graphics card, considering all the newer games that are coming out oct/nov. I don't really see the gtx 260m being able to handle them too well.
