Hi guys!

I would like to overclock my Intel 370M processor that came with my alienware M15x.

So far, I have not been able to find any program that works. I have plenty of overclock experience but have not been able to, with this laptop.

Before I start doing things, is there any known software that can overclock this CPU? (other then setFSB)

It seems that this processor´s overclocking ability is locked in the alienware bios. Is it possible to flash this bios to enable FSB changing?

Any help would be appreciated.

The only CPU's that you can overclock in the M15x are the extreme processors (920xm/940xm) as they are the only ones with unlocked multipliers. There is a modified BIOS for the M15x, but it doesn't unlock any overclock settings. ES and QS 920xm's are relatively cheap on Ebay if you're looking to upgrade that i3.

Well, if software like SetFSB and similar don't work you'd need to do a hardware mod, but imo it's not really worth the effort for an i3... I recommend getting an i7, maybe even an extreme chip, they're not as expensive anymore as they used to be.
