    Hey guys, thanks for helping,

So the problem I have is that my
    Alienware m15x:
    Q 820 i7
    gtx 260m
    6gb, 500gb

For example when I play a game like Dota 2 (similar to LOL), I play fine until it reaches the 30 minute line, where my laptop is extremely hot, 92-95 C. It starts becoming laggy, and starts stuttering for the rest of the match. I then turn it off, let it cool off and try to play again. It is so fustrating though, I am always super paranoid of when it will starts lagging.
Please help me!!! I think there is something wrong with my fans. Everything is up to date. The BIOS is up to date. The drivers are up to date

It sounds like you might need to re-paste your gpu and clean the fans and heatsink grille. Click on the link in my signature which shows these steps as well as how to replace the gfx card.
Try to find some good thermal paste such as ICD7 or ICD24. This is a thick paste that works very well. That should stop your temperatures shooting up and causing throttling. No more lagging!!!

Is there no way I can use Throttlestop or anything before I buy the thermal paste?

Are you playing games with your laptop flat against the tabletop? It's bad for cooling.

I have been using CM Notepal U2 since day one when I got my M15x. You can try using something to prop it up for better cooling.

there really is no point in making short cuts when it comes to overheating components ! slimerr is correct. simply clean out the fans and remove the heatsink and apply new thermal paste I personally use Arctic's Mx-4 but there many equally as good. its a simple process and only takes a couple of mins from start to finish really is something a beginner can do.
and whilst your doing the gpu and can also do the cpu aswell, that way you can kill 2 birds with one stone :D

What is saying the mate 2Ds i think is the best cooling solution, sincerely. It has efficient dissipation for the underside fans (that is the most important i think),it is ergonomic and light
If you want to try with something similar and really cheap, im using a paper metallic stray since day one too, and i've got better result when compared to a few cool-pads i've tested ;)

Edit: Of course you must repasting as everybody says

Offtopic: btw 2Ds, your m15x it is really in mint condition Xd. How old is it? Hah
    :) Cheers

Whether re-pasting or not, propping up your laptop would enhance cooling significantly. From my own experience, it's as much as 10 degC difference. Just by looking at the position of the fans and vents, if you place your laptop completely flat against the table, you are drafting warm air back into your GPU and CPU. I've even resorted to removing the cover exposing the fans. On my old 260M, temps never went above 80 degC and it never went above 70 degC for my 670MX even when benching.

    @MorejaSparda
I got this M15x since mid 2010, so just over 3 years. :)

Ya I have already done this,I use a textbook lol I know :). I put the end of my laptop on top of the textbook, so it is like slanted. None of the fans are covered. But it still gets hot
