    Guys !!!

My computer is like a C64 on battery. It runs in slow motion.
    What can be wrong ?

    Regards

    Toby

Man, there are so many threads about this. It's not an isolated issue. As many have already stated, the computer automatically downclocks to the point of being almost stationary when it's run on the battery. It's not just Alienware, any high performance laptop will behave in exactly the same way. The only option is AC power if you really want to get the most out of your machine. Otherwise you'd have just about enough time to boot up, load crysis take ten steps forward and you'd be hearing the warning beeps. Battery just can't keep the hardware satisfied.

    Damn indeed!

But it's a real monster when you feed it enough juice to make it sing.
