I have my power button set to shut down the system. I've always had this set up, but recently I had to send my unit in to Dell for repair.

Ever since then, the power button just restarts my system about 50% of the time instead of shutting it down. I have restored my system to factory settings with the same results. To state the obvious, I have made sure the settings are how I want it in the power settings in the control panel.

Does anyone have this problem and is there a fix to this?

    Thanks.

Try the powerdraining trick and try upgrading your video drivers/graphics drivers.
Make sure to go through the "New M15x Owner Information" thread that is stickied.
