Hi there, I've been looking all day for possible solutions to my problem but to no avail.

    My problem is:

I have a M15X (with the A09 BIOS) which I'm trying to connect to a Samsung 46" LED monitor. I have a Displayport/HDMI adaptor, and the HDMI cable needed to perform this (otherwise) simple task, yet when I connect the two components all I get is the "No Signal" message.

The TV does register a connection, and I have selected the proper Source.

I've also tried the FN + F6 solution, which did work for me ages ago, yet now nothing happens.

I've tried looking into my Nvidia Control Panel to see if I could find the external monitor there. Nothing. And my computer doesn't register that there is an external monitor, which is strange.

I've tried all sorts of combinations of restarting the Laptop. Nothing.

So it's either my Displayport Adapter is faulty, or my Motherboard is FUBAR?, the latter meaning that I'm screwed as my warranty is long gone.

My TV is full HD (1920x1080p) and 100Hz, which should be more than enough to handle the output of my GTX 260M...

So, what do I do now? Completely reinstall everything?

Read page 26 of the manual, once you have exhausted these options, use a different HDMI lead, I had a few cheap ones that just wouldn't allow my M15x to display on my 50 inch plasma. then, try a different TV.

Well i dont have any experience with nvidia card but i suggest you try using the same connection on a completely different tv(one of your friends tv). I use a led/lcd 240hz 42" toshiba and it works fine with my amd card, as soon as you plug you should get some feed . Or you could try buying a hdmi to displayport cable from amazon they are pretty cheap nowadays.

Well, Jarv. Problem is that I no longer have the manual. Mind telling me what page 26 suggests? :)

Also, I bought a rather expensive HDMI lead (and I have tried several now) so I don't think that's the problem.

    Tried it. No success.

I'm considering that the problem might be the Nvidia driver. My current one is 290.36, Beta. I'll try rolling back to 285.62.

Has anyone had success with other Displayport/HDMI adapters than the one supplied by Dell?

    UPDATE:

I tried rolling back my GPU driver, but that didn't solve anything.

    Any ideas?
