I have recently tried the registry hack that enables multitouch on the M15x touchpad... worked like a charm! Touchpad is not only more responsive, but also supports two-fingered scroll and the like!

Only problem is, since then, my touchpad is not working during the windows 7 login screen. The best I can do is to turn the border lights on by clicking Fn+F12 (the T-pad one).

I have to plug in a mouse to login, upon which the touchpad works perfectly. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this? Or is there a windows 7 keyboard shortcut to login?

    Thanks guys.

Make sure the touchpad is enabled when you turn off the computer, disable the feature that automatically turns off the touchpad when an external mouse is connected. - that fixed the same problem for me.
Just hit spacebar and type on the Windows log in screen if the touchpad is disabled.

While were on the subject of touchpads, anyone figured out how to enable pinch to zoom?
