Guys had my m15x couple of months and loving it so far. Had no problems and its been great playing games at full spec.

I was playing footie Manager the other day and got up to take the laptop to the kitchen for a few mins and just unplugged the power cable leaving it in the wall.

Is it normal that the performance is noticably different,, its like being in stealth mode if unplugged.

My last laptop was an old Inspiron 1520, and i never noticed it doing that when not plugged in. Footie mangr isnt the most demanding of games so I was supprised to see it lag when clicking the cursor over toolbar oprions etc. The 3d match enging was noticably slower also.

I always play games with the lapotop connected so only just noticed on this occasion

Using a balanced power plan,, is this normal for the m15x ??

Yeah that is completely normal. The M15x downclocks to preserve its battery life and also its battery health, not only will the high performance parts drain the it quickly, the high power draw can also damage it.
Don't worry just play games plugged in. Everyone else here does :)
