The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. I am hoping someone can help me here,

My screen quite randomely starting showing funny lines all over the place. I have only had the laptop since mid January, its well looked after (no drops or anything) and then this, now this is a pricey piece of kit and I want to know whats up with it !!

I took a screen shot of what I'm referring too to help you understand my trouble.

*excuse the tinkerbell wallpaper, do not judge me!*

The lines move around and when my background changes the lines seem to move with it. It is on browsers, applications and taskbar.

It seems like a graphics error. The gpu thinks its doing a good job, but really it isnt.
This is why you see artefacts, but they dont show on the picture so we cant see it.
Have you tried updating drivers and installing the newest bios?

Those odd lines are called artifacts and wont show up in pictures. Call dell, describe the problem, try to get it fixed. Hope you have better luck with the getting it fixed part than me... Read my posts if you dont.
