    Hey guys,

Guys i have a huge problem.Last night i wanted to do a restore from AlienRespawn from Windows. The notebook rebooted and started the process i went to the kitchen and when i came back my notebook was busy with a windows startup repair process???. Now the problem is that Alienrespawn has already reformatted the partition, so obviously i cannot get into windows, and i never made recovery DVD's (I know - very stupid of me).

Is there any other way i can restore my Alienware ?

    Alienware M15X
    I7 Q740M
    ATI HD5850
    8GB GDDR5

    Please guyz im desperate.

    Thanx in advance.

Have you tried booting from the recovery disc? It should have the full version of windows so you can do a clean install. I don't have any recovery dvds with my system, just the one Alienware disc, and I've reinstalled Windows twice on it already.

I'm sorry, I have no idea other than using the disks that were shipped with your M15X. Seeing were on the subject, I have yet to do a back up. Ive read different ways of doing so (disk, flash drive) which is the preferred method?

    Clonezilla...

to the OP you can do a full windows reinstall in a matter of a few hours hell get the win 7 installed, load the network driver from dell support site then call alienware and they will log in and install all drivers and wallpapers etc
