Haven't made a topic here in a long time...

I had my GTX 260M changed to a 5850M a while ago, but because of my haste in getting things installed, I did not bother to uninstall the Nvidia drivers first. They are not causing issues, besides making my installed programs 'cluttered' (i.e. I can't uninstall them).

I have tried Driver Sweeper, but it still goes through the installation process, which the Nvidia driver installer will terminate regardless of the fact it is to be uninstalled as my laptop does not contain an Nvidia graphics card.

Does anyone know of any way to completely remove the drivers without reinstalling Windows? I may do this at some point in the future if it is the only option.

    Thanks in advance.

P.S. I have learnt from this mistake, and in future I will be uninstalling drivers before installing new ones...

Try to uninstall the nvidia drivers from the control panel using the normal uninstall method. Then use driver sweeper to clean up the driver remnants left behind.

However you are right driver messes sometimes can only be cleaned up through a fresh windows install.

Try removing the files and folders in PROGRAM FILES in safe mode and then running the Driver Sweeper in safe mode as well.
