Hi, i want to know if this is the right power connector for the M15x.

New Alienware M15X Dell AC DC Power Jack Replacement in Port Input Connector | eBay

Because right now, my M15x is having trouble with its power connector, with the cord needing to be in a certain position to even charge, and now its gotten bad enough to the point where it sometimes wont even charge

Also, does anyone have any experience or tips on replacing the power connector, i cant be the only one to have this problem, since the first laptop motherboard for my M15x had the same issue with its power connector (I tried re-soldering the connector on the first motherboard, and unfortunately the points on the motherboard where the solder stuck to ended up burning off and became unuasable :( )

    Ok thansk for the confirmation

Also i bought a de-soldering pump since i feel that might help with removing the broken connector (on my attempt with the first motherboard i used de-soldering braid, which is probably what caused that irreversible damage and burns). Does anyone know how effective these de-soldering pumps are, since ive never used one

Get them very close and they work very well :) Don't be afraid of burning the pump a little but be quick.

In my experience does older braid works better but in the end technique and soldering iron is more important.

What kind of soldering iron are you using, using a higher wattage soldering iron will lift the tracks right off the PCB and also a tip of 0.1mm is recommended.
