So i recently bought and Installed a corsair force GT 240Gig SSD. The drive seems to be running fine but starting up my computer now takes 1min 43 secs from the bios window to login to windows. Before with the Samsung 500gig 7200rpm drive it only took 30secs. I think it has to do with the intel drivers but was just wondering if anyone else had this same problem. I followed the Thread on a new windows install and have been reading around the threads but I havent seen anything on this.

Try resetting your bios to defaults, then make sure the HDD is the first boot option and disable the others.

Also, turning off the boot animation should help a little.

wow, thank you taylrjones! I was stressing out that I had gotten a bad drive or that i had done the install wrong. I reset the bios to default and boot time are now around 20seconds! very nice! just out of curiosity, do you know why that worked?
