So recently (1 week+) i flashed my bios and OCed my alienware. I'm also using throttle stop and such. Currently happy, but still some doubts that i need to clear.

    1) If you OCed, it overides Stealth mode ?
    2) In throttle stop, you only need to tick clock modulation and clock mod ? Mine seems to automatically tick EIST.
    3) To get the best gaming experience by OCing, do i need to disable turbo boost and/or speedstep in bios ?
    4) Should i change some options in nvidia control panel ? meaning by messing around with manage 3d setting option.
    5) In the nvidia control panel, where it says set physx configuration. What do i choose in the list. There are your graphic card and CPU. Or i should just choose auto-select.
    6) For a i7 720 and 260m graphics card, and 6 cell battery, which is the most stable overclock and doesn't overheat it. Now i'm using (640/1600/1100). Wonder if it's too high. Currently no issues yet.
    7) Having exclamation marks in the overclocking section in rivatuner is normal right ? in shader clocks, it shows after i set it above 1550+.

That should be it i guess. I'm sorry that i throw a bunch of random questions at the same time. I'm just really curious plus i had the free time to type this out. Lastly thanks in advance for the answers. ;)

    1. yes, the oc should override stealth mode.
2.yes eist is should be ticked, also clock mod, chipset and set multi should all be ticked.
3.no, turbo boost and speedstep should be enabled.
    4. just set everything to performance and you will be fine.
5.sorry can't remember this one, but i think auto should be fine
    6. every card is different, stable for one doesn't mean stable for another card. if you temps are good then you will be fine.
    7. sorry again, can remember, haven't used rivatuner in awhile.

    what cpu do you have?

cpu oc'ing is very limiting on the M15x. mostly 920/940 have the most options, using setfsb and throttle stop.

all other cpu's are just limited to setfsb, but setfsb doesn't work for everybody.

wow thanks inap, didn't thought you would take your time to answering all, thanks again. :D As for the temperature, yeah it's about 40-50 degree, might reach 60+ if playing bad company 2.

another question if you don't mind, how do i let stealth mode control the clock again ? uninstall rivatuner would solved it ?
