    Hi.

I got my computer back from dells repairshop yesterday. They swapped my GPU, so I thought I would see how it worked out.

I have a problem when using AMD gpu clock tool.
I will set my clocks, and then press "set clocks" Then when I press OK down in the right corner the screen will go black, and only return to normal after a hard reset.

Am I doing someting wrong, or is there something wrong with the software?

    One thing though.
When I used the AMD tool, the voltage would automatically raise itself according to clock and memory speed.
It seems that with trixx I have to do this myself. Is there any scale as to what the voltage should be at a specific clock?

anyone can correct me if im wrong but anything over the 625 mark you need to upp the voltage and mem to 1050.

i might be wrong tho lol just tryin to help lol

Using Trixx, the voltage will automatically increase when 3d clocks are activated just like it does with AMD Clock Tool or with no overclock at all. No action by you is required to trigger the boost; it's built into the vbios. All you can do in AMDCT is bump it up to that 3d level set in the vbios; you cannot o/c the voltage. The voltage slider in Trixx is for overclocking/increasing the 3d voltage above the level defined in the vbios. Once increased, voltage will stay at the higher level until it is reset in TriXX or you reboot.

Ordinarily, the 5850M core clock can be o/c'ed to 750 or 800 without increasing the voltage, but cards vary.
