    HI all,

Starting from last week if I remember that I experience a 0.1~1 sec freeze at home screen or watching movies. like the whole screen freeze and music jiggering.

Is it the Graphics card problem coz back to few months time I had once a graphic problem ?

    FYI: i7-840, 4 GB RAM , 460M blah blah...

What kind of HDD do you have? A hybrid? There were some micro-stuttering issues with some models / firmware if I remember correctly.

I had some stuttering on video playback that started after I installed a Momentus disk, but it turned out to be an Nvidia driver issue. Anyway, the latest firmware is 25, and here is a link to the Momentus forum: Momentus XT, Momentus and Momentus Thin notebook drives - Seagate Community Forums

Well I did update the driver today to 25 found on the site.

However I still experience stuttering lol
I just went to DELL site and I already have the most updated NVDIA driver as well ... *0*

M15x seems having quite a lot of problems despite of its really a strong system.

I can tell it's a Video Driver Issue...Since,you are using a 460M, I think you should use 267.76 from nVidia's site..the one's you are using from Dell's site is pretty outdated and you should see a performance increse with the newer drivers as well.

While installing these 267.76, make sure you do a clean install of these drivers or else you are gonna see some problems in the future.

You can select nVidia Clean Install via other options or you can clean your drivers with DriverSweeper and CCleaner as well. Just my .02

Sgt is absolutely right - drivers from the Nvidia site tend to be well ahead of those that get to the Dell site. One caveat - sometimes newer is not better. If updating the driver does not help, check the Nvidia forum - I found someone else that had stuttering and went back to an earlier driver - that fixed it for him, and for me. But the 267.76 driver seems ok for me.

Ya, I can confirm that 267.76 is the best drivers yet for the GTX 460M. I too a lot of driver testing as a pastime just to make my system run at it's finest. ;) I know, it sounds weird but I like doing it. Try these drivers and a clean install should do the trick for all the BSODs.
