    Hi,

Recently I reinstalled my alienware M15x (which didn't have problems with the touchpad). But now after reinstalling, my touchpad is still on while my usb mouse is connected and on Alienware Command Center > Alientouch, the function: "turn touchpad off while usb mouse is connected" is enabled, but the weird thing is, is when I disable it I can confirm it, but when I push back to enable, I can't confirm it. My Alientouch didn't work in the beginning (just some weird alienware theme when I clicked Alientouch. But after I installed Synaptics it worked again, but the touchpad didn't fix. So how do I have my touchpad automatically off when my usb mouse is connected?

PS: When I fn + f12 (t-pad turn on/off) it stays off, but after I go sleepmode or something like that it goes on again.

I once had the same problem as you did, and it was due to the fact that I installed the latest Synaptics driver which does not seem to have this feature.

All I had to do was download the synaptics driver which is still available on the Dell Alienware M15x drivers website, and reuse the old drivers.
