    hi all

took the free upgrade to windows 10, now my touch pad is laggy as hell (not the scrolling issue here, the actual moving of the cursor - laggy as hell)

I tried downloading and installing in 10 drivers from synaptics, and I think it helped a LITTLE, but still quite laggy

on dells site it doesn't look like they have win 10 drivers...

anyone know what the issue is?

    thank you

The touchpad driver isn't supported well by Win 10. Perhaps a work around exists but it seems not yet.

Easy solution is to pop off palm rest and disable the trackpad for good :) use external mouse!

    ah that's a shame

guess its the downside to our laptops being 6 years old, even if the performance still stands up to modern day machines, things like this will hurt us

The trackpad only works at around 30hz or less for me, the slow update speed is what's causing the trackpad to be sluggish/imprecise.

Scrolling doesn't work, right click button doesn't work -____-

What's funny is that when I first installed windows, trackpad works fine...
