    Hi Guys,

Probably just a quick one for someone that knows the answer to this, but in the past week my trackpad has started to deactivate itself at the login screen, but only sometimes

Any thoughts? The LED goes out around the trackpad too. I cant see anything in the settings that would be affecting it.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

mine does the exact same thing but it only does it when i put it to sleep with my wireless mouse plugged in. I turn it back on and i have to use the mouse to click my name to log on.

I think for some reason it ignores that it shouldnt turn off the trackpad with an external device plugged in. For me, I have a bluetooth mouse that I use so it always thinks its plugged in regardless of whether or not the mouse is turned on. So, all i do is press ALT+TAB which allows me to select my user. Then just hit enter and type in your password. I consider it an extra safety feature because then people who may know my password but cant use the computer (aka my girlfriend) dont know how to click my username since the touchpad doesnt work

I've got a Razer Mamba mouse, but i dont have any settings ticked that would allow the laptop to turn the touchpad off when an external mouse is plugged in. Plus, it does it without the mouse plugged in too :(
