Ok thing is, I'm looking for a new, good gaming laptop that's portable, and all the most appealing brand is Alienware. Thing is, I hate the M14x cause it's too small, and I don't like the M17x since it's too big. Then I saw that alienware sold m15x before, and now they don't (don't know why). Are there any sites selling updated M15x laptops?

M15x vs M17x-r3, size and weigh difference is very minimal.

^^^ Absolutely true. These days, the nearest thing to a new M15x is the M17x-R3, except that it is significantly faster and has more storage capabilities. And this from a current owner and still an enormous fan of the M15x.

I'll just chip in as one of the three frequent forum users who have migrated to the M17x R3 from a M15x, the other 2 being the posters above me :D

I was always reluctant to move to the 17 incher. You have to realise, the M15x is infact really a 17" laptop with a 15.6" screen. The size difference is minimal. The R3 is slightly wider but that's really it.

If you still aren't that convinced, I may have one for sale soon. Not pristine but one of a kind (BumbleBee paint job :D)

you got any pics of that paint job? it sounds really cool looking :D

and yes m17x-r3 would be a better buy and its not that much larger than the m15x really. You also get internals and no need for the extended battery ;)

I didn't do it, I got another user here to send it off to a company he knows to powder coat the bottom. The rest is yellow colour-matched vinyl.
