You can ask, but they will say no (unless your system is still within the return period).

    But you can bring your M15x to M17x R3 levels with a 6970m :D

yep, we can bring it to m17x levels but we can even get a 6970CF and bonus Klipsch's audio too , wouldn't that be great an all in one package i.e RBG LED, CF,Audio,Better PSU for OCing?

THe M17x is a single GPU system. No CF6970m.

M17x r3 does not have rgb led. Only the r2 has it.
The best upgrade is if you ebay/sell your m15x and upgrade to m18x.
M18x is only WLED too, but it can have 2x 6970m, extreme processor, 32 gb ram, subwoofer. Probably the most awesome machine ever made.

Yeah so your optimum laptop features are spread across 3 laptops. RGB in the R2 but no 6970m compatibility, R3 has the best form factor and 3D, M18x with the 6970m CF option but no RGB, not even 3D.

Well... If m15x can run the 6970, wouldnt the m17x r2 be able to run cf 6970 since it can run cf 5870?

Well check the M17x forums, there have been very mixed reports. The M15x runs the 460m comfortably with little issues no matter where it came from (Dell or Clevo) but the M17x can't. The truth is the M15x is just compatible with more GPUs than the M17x.

Well if you have accidental care like me and I "accidentally" drop my laptop out of a moving vehicle would they replace it with a m14x or m17x?

The M17x r2 can run the 6970m, I'm not sure about cf, but I guess it'll work as well... but no fan control either when you get the card from the usual dealers.
The Dell card might work with fan control, I don't know.

It's better not to discuss accidental droppings in these forums though. But I guess they are bound to replace it if you had any accident right. :D
