    Is there a way to put a USB 3.0 port in my laptop?

    There's like a PCI-E card on the right hand-side I can use that right?

    all these cards will not be able to power up a 3.5" drive. that's why they all have a external power adapter (check the first picture, you can see a power adapter plug).

    There was one, I can't remember which, but instead of needing to be plugged into the wall, you could plug the power adapter into the USB port right next to the ExpressCard slot. Seemed like a great idea to me, especially if it could deliver as good a performance as one powered by a wall adapter.

    Looks like the same card I linked. So it's working out good for you? 2097 said he had some issues. I'm thinking of getting one now too, even though I don't really need one :D

    @DR650SE

    For sure Express Card Expresscard 54 to USB 3.0 x 2 Port Reader | eBay is compatible with my m15x? Seems a bit to big, and I dont know anything when it comes to PCI express cards...

    Will the USB 3.0 be able to power up an external USB HD like this one for example? Newegg.com - Western Digital My Passport Essential SE 1TB USB 3.0/USB 2.0 Black Portable Hard Drive WDBACX0010BBK-NESN without needing an external power source because the card itself doesnt provide enough power?

    You experiencing any problems, or regrets on your USB 3.0 card?
    Would I be better off withhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16839113009&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&AID=10446076&PID=3640576&SID=skim525X832X675908efcb661043cf01e4cb6a82660c maybe because it might be a better fit? One is a /54 and the other one is a /34 whatever that means...

    Thanks in advance

    The 34 and 54 refer to the width of the cards in mm. The M15x uses a 54mm wide expresscard slot. You can still use the 34mm one but you're better off sticking with the 54mm cards.
