I have the opportunity to buy a used MX15 for $300. My son want's to play Minecraft, Unturned, 7 Days To Die. My budget is around $300. Is this worth it?

I would probably ask the owner what the GPU is. The i3 processor might not be enough for gaming.
To me it is not worth it cause of the CPU.

It does depend on the GPU. The cpu could be upgraded but unless it is packing at least a 5870M it isn't worth it.
