I've never used my e-sata port so it was really wasted on me but for quite awhile now I've found that most usb cables and flash drives fit too loosely to properly work unless I apply pressure underneath the cable or flash drive. Pretty annoying if you need a lot of usb ports.

Anyone got any ideas how I can fix or improve this combo port so usb plugs fit more securely?

    Thanks

That's a way to solve it, but it could cause more issues at the end (broken USB). I guess you can use that fix temporarily.
