Hi, my w key on my alienare laptop is behaving horribly

it either does not work or it types w 2 or 3 times in a row. ive cleaned the heck out of the key, using compressed air cans and a vacuum, and removed every single bit of debris and dust around it. Yet, it still behaves like this. Is there anything else i can do, i dont want to have to spend unneccesary money on a ne keyboard

Unforuntately it sounds like the key 'chatter' I've had on my old Deck mechanical keyboard which means something might have possible gotten in the membrane on your AW (yes its not mechanical)

Is this ONLY the W key? If so, can you ensure it doesn't happen with a external keyboard? If so, please try to try out a spare/replacement keyboard. Assuming its only the W key is where my thought lines.

IIRC, the letter W behaving erratically was an issue way back when before Dell fixed it with A09

    Well here is what happened:

I upgraded the BIOS and unfortunatley it did not fix the problem. In the end i just ordered a new keyboard and replaced it, and now it works like a charm. My guess is that the W key just took too much of a beating, seeing as how its used by many, many games

Sounds about right, probably one of the keys that gets beaten the most
