    I have a m15x with a gtx 260m, 4gb ram and a i5 430m.

    I recently upgraded my cpu to a i7 640m and my previous WEI score was 6.7 and now its 7.0 which is great. However its the ram score that has changed it use to be 7.5 but now its 5.9!!.

    Just wondering what the deal is there or if i should be worried.

    If it helps my bios is at A09

    Run it again, plus one shouldn't fret over WEI scores, they mean jack. You can spoof them anyways, at least for a few weeks before they revert again.

    Open Windows Explorer and navigate to c:\Windows\Performance\WinSat\DataStore. Delete all files in that folder. Then return to the WEI page and click on Check the WEI. It will show the computer as unrated. Click Rate this computer, and you’ll get a fresh score unaffected by prior runs or configurations.

    @The Revelator
    Thanks for the suggestion it did give me a clean rating but its still the same. :/
    Its just strange though that it has went down in its rating. although im not sure if the performance has went down.

    The new cpu is really cool seems strange that in idle its 19c and at load never goes past 29c. XD

    nopes its definitely not on stealth mode. I changed my bios to A09 yday so maybe that has something to do with it so might change it back to A08 see if that sorts anything out.

    I think you're taking these WEI ratings too seriously.

    :rolleyes:

    That's the problem, it's completely arbitrary at times, so I suggest for you to stop letting it get to your head.

    Check the ram speed in the bios. I can't remember where it is from the top of my head and can't check atm since I'm at work. :(
