So I have a Intel 6300, 6230, and the stock Broadcom BT. Both Intel WAN cards work in the WLAN. Neither gets detected in the WPAN mini pcie slot.

Oddly enough, im not getting my broadcom device showing up in devicemgmt. Systeminfo shows a PAN device is installed but not detecting adapter type.

I'm thinking my WPAN slot up and quit on me. Just looking to see what others experienced with using the WPAN mini pci-e slot for other bt or wan modules. The only threads from search are about trying msata.

Do you have any other device that you can try on the same slot just to double check if it is the slot itself? I think that you might be missing the drivers since it recognizes the device attached as PAN device.

Well I have access to a range of Dell latitudes and think pads so I'm going to find one with a wpan card to test when I have time this week.

Don't want to jump on alienware for it yet. Although I've had great experiences with my contact with them for minor issues

Edit.. Thanks for the idea. Wasn't thinking of cards to test that aren't mine

Okay, had some windows issues with the bt drivers. Wpan slot doesn't like my two wlan cards or there's a bios blacklist on wpan. All to do figure out what's going on then sell the extra 6230
