I swear the other day you could select a 460M to use on this laptop but now it's just ATI only...Am I crazy?

EDIT: Yup, I see others with m15x and a 460M...It seems like they are slowly pulling it as an option for all laptops, maybe upgrade to 485M is imminent :)

They're trying to sell off their stock of 5850's, with the 460's being reallocated to the m17x r3.

Well the 560m is almost exactly the same as a 460m but with higher clocks. I think they'd have a 6970 as it is the same as a 5850...with higher clocks. But then again, we may see the death of the M15x anyways with the M14x.

Well I was on chat with dell cause I was going to build a system for my wife and i was told by dell that due to a shortage of the card you can still order it over the phone but it will delay your order. I asked about maybe a newer lineup of nvidia cards comming out and they said not at this time for the m15x.

The 6 870 is roughly the same card, the 6 970 definitely isn't.

If I am not mistaken, the naming scheme for AMD 6XXXM series has charged. The successor for HD 5 8XXM should be HD6 9XXM. In other words, HD 6870M is much weaker than HD 5850M, but it succeeds HD 5730M.

Probably, we need someone like Phinagle to verfiy this.
