As of late I'm experiencing more and more problems with my M15X.

The latest one is an odd one. I'm having random BSOD's, upon reboot I get a "this is not a support AC adapter" and it gives me the F1 to continue or F2 to Setup option. I'm running A08 Bios. I've removed the battery, discharged the system, unplugged the adapter from the wall, let it discharge as well. The problem still persists. Anyone ever experience this? In the BIOS it can't identify the type of adapter connected to the computer.

How long did you hold the power button for when you were discharging the power? Usually you should hold it for about 2 minutes to completely reset everything.

If anything, it sounds like your AC adapter may have started failing. Try to hold the power button with the battery disconnected for 2 minutes, and reseat the battery and AC adapter. If you still get the error messages, call dell and have them replace the AC Adapter. Do you get the blue LED ring on your AC adapter?

Worse case scenario is that the motherboard went bad, but its highly unlikely.

I held the button for about a min, thats more than enough time to discharge anything. The blue ring is on. I'm awaiting a system replacement but they're taking their sweet time getting me my confirmation info.

I just had another BSOD. I don't know what's going on, Windows isn't logging the error and it doesn't seem like there's a memory dump since it's a split second and then reboots. I think the brand new motherboard that's 3 weeks old is defective.

OK listen to this, I was very recently (bios A08) on the phone with a very knowledgable dell rep, and told him I had this problem and he said dell knew about it and was working on a fix, and told me to go into bios upon startup and go to AC adapter options( i think that is what the tab is called) and just disable the warnings. there are a couple options on this tab and it is pretty clear which one is to disable this warning.

Its definitely possible. I have no reason to assume it isnt. Its Dell.....lol.

They are getting you a system replacement? That is great. I went through hell and back until I got one after the tech ruined my notebook for a simple dvd drive replacement.

Hopefully the new machine will be working much better without any problems.

You could do what darth voldemort said too. But I would think if there is a problem with the AC adapter not being recognized, there might also be a problem with the board not getting the full 150W of power too. So you may experience throttling, etc.

If they are offering a new replacement, take it.

the replacement is for an audio related issue but damn this is annoying. Its taking forever for anything to get done and now these issues are starting to pop up.
