    Hey all,

I've had this issue for a while, only just clicked to post about it though,

Whenever I am listening to music or watching a movie with either speakers or headphones while copying files from anything or anywhere the audio gets really distorted and weird electronic buzzes...

All Drivers are saying they're up-to-date.

The issue also sometimes occurs when I'm opening a file or program... it's starting to really annoy me... and seems weird as to why it's doing it...

    Anyone else having these problems?

Any idea's as to the problem?

    Cheers.

    Are you using mcafee?
Btw, i get the same distortion, for a while only and while watching movie or playing music w/o doing anything in bg.

To me it sounds like the card is physically getting interference from another part inside the laptop.

I had that problem, to a lesser degree (if was faint, but noticeable), and I had the card replaced - now it works like a charm.

That's probably your safest bet, anyway.

Yes, it came with the system.
    How could that affect it?

Yes, I have thought of that. I'm still under warranty, is it a job where they can just do it at home? or send the laptop off?

What else could it be getting interference from?

Yes, this is faint, but noticable... But sometimes gets a bit louder (only with headphones do i notice it to that extent)

    hmm what card? gfx?

Btw, why i said that is because i actually waited for it to happen, and noticed when it happened, all the processors will spike 100% which causes the distortion. I have a graph monitor on my desktop. So i checked the system process, and noticed that mcafee's mcsheild caused it.

I don't know what card it is, I think it's saying ATI, I'm not sure. Here's some screen shots of it though...

Wow, okay, that's some crazy stuff then. Is there any way to stop the AV from making this happen?
